Community Resilience

Rising Tide celebrates the young people of Clare’s hopes for the future and community resilience, in collaboration with ceramic artist Sheila Stone. With support from Creative Ireland and Cruinniú na nÓg this project was an opportunity for young people and their families to come together - while still apart - and dream up what they want from the future.

I wrote a ceremony that included the children. We called on the powers of earth, water, fire and air and entered our spiral of hope in the sand. The Rising Tide Spiral represent the journey we take to find our own inner “light”, our joy and our happiness.

The Pandemic has shown us that celebrating life is so important. Welcome your baby with a baby naming ceremony there are so many meaningful way that can include your family and friends at home, in nature or at your chosen venue. I will consult with you on what would work for you and your family.
